Taylor Swift’s Alleged Stalker, Accused of Threatening Travis Kelce, Arrested at Germany Eras Tour

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are shaking off this scary situation.

Just before Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, July 17, an American man—who has allegedly made threats against the “Karma” singer and her Kansas City Chiefs player boyfriend on social media—was arrested, authorities told the Associated Press. 

The 34-year-old man, whose name was not shared, had a ticket to Taylor’s July 17 show at the Veltins-Arena. He was arrested upon his entry into the stadium, as authorities noted they could not ascertain risk upon an initial investigation. Police informed the Associated Press that the man was detained “following tips from organizers of the event.”

A local court ordered for the man to remain in custody for the entire duration of Swift’s Eras Tour residency in the city and will be released on July 20. Authorities emphasized that there was never any danger to Swift, Kelce or the 60,000 fans present for the July 17 show. The “Fortnight” singer went on to perform in…

Taylor Swift commented on Wednesday for the first time on the cancellation of three of her Eras Tour shows in Vienna, Austria, earlier this month after a foiled terrorist attack, calling it “devastating.”

In a statement posted on social media, the 34-year-old TIME Person of the Year said: “The reason for the cancellations filled me with a new sense of fear, and a tremendous amount of guilt because so many people had planned on coming to those shows.”

Ryan Gosling released a strongly-worded statement in response to what may be the most controversial snubbing of the 2024 Oscar nominations.

Gosling, who played the role of Ken in last summer’s box-office blockbuster Barbie, was nominated for best supporting actor at the Academy Awards. But neither director Greta Gerwig nor star Margot Robbie, who together brought the doll to life and were each nominees at both the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards earlier this month, received a nod in their respective categories.

Shannen Doherty Dead at 53 After Cancer Battle

Hollywood has lost a legend. 

Actress Shannen Doherty, best known for her roles in Beverly Hills, 90210, Charmed and Heathers, died July 13 after battling stage 4 breast cancer. She was 53 years old. 

"On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease," her publicist Leslie Sloane said in a statement to NBC News. "The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie. The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace.”

Doherty's passing comes nearly eight months after she shared that her cancer had metastasized to her brain and later spread to her bones. She was previously diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and went into remission in 2017.

However, in February 2020, she revealed it had returned.

In film criticism as it stands today, unless you’re writing for a specific, rarefied audience, discussing a film’s ending is verboten. Breathe just a hint of detail about a final scene, or even a closing shot, and the spoiler police will not be amused. But once in a while, a film ending is so potent, so powerful both on its own terms and as the culmination of all that has come before, that it demands consideration by itself. Martin Scorsese’s extraordinary film Killers of the Flower Moon, adapted from David Grann’s 2017 book about the systematic and ghoulish murders of rich Osage landowners in 1920s Oklahoma, is one of those pictures. The final minutes usher us out of this mournful, vital movie in a way that both underscores Scorsese’s deep connection with the material and helps us articulate our own feelings about it. Maybe it’s even less of an ending than a beginning, a portal into the movie’s afterlife—in my case, the movie stuck with me for days, weeks, memories of it reappearing unbidden like a message written in smoke. 3 Members of The Nelons Family Gospel Group Dies in Plane Crash

Autumn Nelon Streetman is opening up about a terrible tragedy. 

One day after her mom Kelly Nelon Clark, stepdad Jason Clark, sister Amber Kistler and four others were killed in a private plane crash, Autumn—who is pregnant with her and husband Jamie Streetman’s baby boy—shared a note of gratitude with fans of their family’s gospel group The Nelons. 

“Thank you for the prayers that have been extended already to me, my husband, Jamie, and our soon-to-be-born baby boy, as well as Jason’s parents, Dan and Linda Clark,” Autumn said in a July 27 statement. “We appreciate your continued prayers, love and support as we navigate the coming days.”

Kelly, 64, Jason and Amber, 35,  alongside Amber’s husband Nathan Kistler, 34, band assistant Melodi Hodges, pilot Larry Haynie and his wife Melissa Haynie were killed July 26 after their plane crashed in a remote area of Wyoming.
